Show me the way

We are thrust into this world and we must quickly make sense of it all. Around every corner we encounter strange, exciting and new things. With every year that passes we become more familiar with the way things work. Yet we are still curious about many things and so we look at the world around us and we struggle to find all the answers..and sometimes we are left perplexed or even fearful of the world unknown.. and so we inquire.. we investigate ..we ask many questions..we want to know..WHY?
As we grow older we are exposed to the knowledge and "wisdom" of this world. We are persuaded to adopt customs, rituals or religious traditions into our lifestyle.. mostly without really understanding why. We are put on a track to "success"..and expected to immerse ourselves in reaching the aspirations of our parents. We are told that their is no better goal in life than to achieve your highest potential and enjoy the benefits of your hard work and dedication. Society teaches us that being number one is the only thing that matters..staying in the game and doing your best is not good enough..happiness and success is attainable..it is within our reach..books and glitzy magazines showcase the lives of people who have had their dreams "fulfilled". Power, prestige, riches and fame are what this world offers to it's most ambitious and driven souls.
Then you slowly begin to realize that there is a massive conspiracy afoot.. to bombard us with sound bites and subtle messages with the ultimate goal of conditioning our desires which can have a direct influence in our spending patterns. Once we are convinced that we absolutely need a certain product or gadget in our lives..then we become enslaved to a vicious cycle of upgrades, renew, enhance, add ons and unveilings. Obsolescence is king ! This nonstop propaganda machine controlled by greedy commercial interest will not rest until it gains the loyalty of every conspicuous consumer !
We are faced with the option of succumbing to the pressure tactics of greedy sectors in our society ..or we can use our power of reason and logic to filter out those who have no interest in our physical, emotional or spiritual well being.
The choice is ours !!
